Doornenburg Castle is a fun outing for all members of the family, large and small. Demonstrations of knight tournaments, archery and sword fights take place on the outer ward, which is also the location for the annual battle reenactment.

Be sure not to miss ‘De Slag om Doornenburg’, a battle for control of the castle. Who will win this historic battle?

Guided tour

To visit the inner ward of the castle, book a guided tour. The outer ward of the castle, where the coffee rooms and the inn (with terrace) are located, is freely accessible. Due to its large number of stairs, the castle is not accessible to people in wheelchairs.
