Museum Kennemerland

Collection

The highlights of the permanent collection are: Pottery from Velsen, various tapestries from the Koninklijke Tapijtknoperij ‘Kinheim’ (Royal tapestry workshop ‘Kinheim’) and the blazons of the ‘chambers of rhetoric’ dramatic society. Other key collections are: local archaeological finds, industry and household appliances, children’s toys and ice skates.

The estates of central Kennemerland

The museum also focuses on the history of the estates of central Kennemerland. The museum displays old prints, paintings, archaeological objects and products from the region. Since recently, the open depot houses a showcase for small monthly exhibitions of items from private collections.
