But how does a bicycle actually get moving? What does it take to produce t-shirts sustainably? What technological developments are hidden in your smartphone? Find out in the new family exhibition Technium on the fully upgraded second floor of NEMO.

Summer Rooftop

This summer, NEMO’s rooftop square is home to all kinds of activities. Enjoy the summer atmosphere and the music, enjoy a bite to eat and sip a drink while taking in the best views of Amsterdam on the NEMO Summer Roof. Every Thursday there is live music, the full programme will soon be available.

During the summer holiday there are many extra activities in NEMO. In the Makery you'll discover how nature inspires inventors. Puzzle with patterns, make nature sounds with everyday objects and experiment with balance and gravity. You can also create your own chain reaction and take a look at the chain reaction demonstration. Or would you like to be a test subject in real scientific research?
