Via een nieuwe film, performance en tentoonstelling onderzoekt de Zuid-Afrikaanse kunstenaar Buhlebezwe Siwani hoe de stad Amsterdam en omliggende wateren verbonden zijn met het leven van mensen die onvrijwillig naar deze plek werden gebracht en van hen die er vandaag de dag vrijwillig blijven.

Performance

De kunstenaar werkt samen met een groep dansers om op verschillende locaties een choreografie te ontwikkelen, die ter plaatse wordt gefilmd. Een performance, geïnspireerd op de film, zal vervolgens driemaal de tentoonstelling tot leven brengen, tussen eind november 2024 en februari 2025.
