Sammie the dog

Sammie, a cheerful and sweet little dog, guides you through the beautiful canal house of Louisa and Abraham, the last residents of Huis Willet-Holthuysen. Sammie shares the history of the house and its colorful inhabitants. You will meet cook Heinrich, the Deutz family, and of course, get to know Louisa and Abraham better. You’ll learn about turtle soup, the large garden behind the house, a golden stair railing, paintings, silver, porcelain, and Louisa's green dress.

Come by and walk with Sammie through all the special rooms in the house and learn more about the lives of Abraham and Louisa in the 19th century. Pick up the booklet for free at the ticket desk of Huis Willet-Holthuysen. Entry is free for children under 18.
