Mona Hatoum: Inside Out

From February 1, 2025, Kunsthal KAdE will present a major solo exhibition of Mona Hatoum (1952), featuring works that span her entire career.

The artist, born in Lebanon to Palestinian exiles, has lived in London since 1975, where she developed a body of work that revolves around the tension between home, displacement, and exile. Everyday objects are electrified, the globe becomes a buzzing red neon map, and glass forms are trapped within cage-like structures. With a minimalist aesthetic and a poetic use of the everyday, Mona Hatoum transforms themes of global conflicts into evocative sculptures and installations.
